We’re delighted to announce that we will be partnering with Dorothy House as our chosen charity of the year for 2024.
Dorothy house provide personalised care in the community through ten locally focused care team who help people with pallative care and equip more people to provide the care everyone deserves, at their Hospices, in hospital facilities and at home.
Dorothy house is an incredibly important charity and the work that they do is priceless, providing care and support and crucially, dignity to people across the South West.
All proceeds from our raffles and a percentage of all money raised by events will be donated to Dorothy House throughout the year. These donations will not mean additional costs are placed onto you, but we will have donation tins and buckets at our events should you wish to donate.
The step sheet (by the choreographer) states that this is a beginner dance. I’m of the view that it closer to improver than beginner hence doing it tonight
Those 6 weeks flew by far faster than we could have imagined. What a huge difference this week than from week 1. We’re so very proud of you all and very impressed with all your progression.
Tonight we covered
Events Workshops Weekends Your Next Steps
We talked about the differences between events, workshops and weekends, what can you expect from each, how to prepare and the costs associated with them.
We have also put aside a few of the April Workshop tickets that we very briefly discussed for anyone that would like to attend. Click HERE For more information
We also talked about different class types, days, evenings and such and where to find classes. You are all of course welcome to our Calne and Chippenham beginner classes but the Everything Line Dance Class locater that I posted last week is also linked below. Put in a location, change the filter to beginners and look through the list for a class that suits you.
We have thoroughly enjoyed the last 6 weeks and really do hope that you all decide to continue on your Line Dance journey. Again you are more than welcome to join us in our classes but even if you don’t just us, please seek out a Beginners class that suits you and remember that every Line Dance Instructor is different and has a different style of teaching, even in some cases terminology.
Tonight was the first night for the Improvers Class in Chippenham. To say I’m impressed is an understatement. We blew through my class plan and still had loads of time for another dance and recap dances!
Alongside the dancing we went through a number of ‘new’ steps to you and talked about different types of classes, and a number of local instructors in Devizes, Swindon, Trowbridge, Marlborough, Melksham, Bath, Chippenham and Calne.
As promised the link below is for the Everything Line Dance Class locator tool
The link above is filtered to show only Beginner classes. Simply type in a location and it will show you classes in that immediate area. You can also click on the filter symbol to select class days you want to search for.
Of course you are all more than welcome to our classes, however if our class times/days don’t suit you, there are a number of excellent local instructors in the area.
